Kim Gray Elevated To Merchandising-Marketing VP At Acme Markets

Acme Markets recently announced that Kim Gray has been named vice president of merchandising and marketing. He fills the role formerly held by Dan Croce who was named president of the Malvern, PA based retailer last month when Jim Perkins transitioned to the role of COO of parent company New Albertsons, Inc. In his new post, Gray will lead the retailer’s merchandising and marketing efforts covering Acme’s approximately 110 stores in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland.

Gray, been with for Acme for the last two years, both as a district manager and most recently as director of center store sales.

Gray’s food industry career spans 30 years with Albertsons, holding posts in Colorado, Florida and Texas. He will report to Croce.

Also at Acme, Don O’Brien has been promoted to the position of lead grocery sales manager for Acme. He will now lead the retailer’s grocery, dairy, and frozen food teams.

O’Brien’s career with Albertsons spans 30 years. He began as a category manager in 1999 and has held many positions during his tenure, including supplier diversity manager, beer/wine/liquor sales manager, fuel center manager, pricing analyst and safety inspector. He will report to Gray.
