The Pennsylvania Food Merchants Association (PFMA) has named Joy Sgro, vice president and general manager at C&S Wholesale Grocers, to its board of directors, rounding out the board with a longtime wholesale and merchandising leader with deep ties to independent retail.
Sgro has more than four decades of experience across food and beverage distribution – a career centered on supporting independent grocers and strengthening retailer-supplier partnerships. At C&S, she oversees critical retailer relationships across the company’s Robesonia, DuBois and Olean regions.
Sgro first joined C&S in 2015, heading up merchandising for its Robesonia division. After a brief retirement beginning in 2020, she returned to the company in 2022. Her broader industry involvement includes serving as chairman of the National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Association board in 2017.
