Mark McGowan, currently EVP of supply chain for Ahold USA, has been appointed to the role of interim EVP of merchandising for the retailer as it continues its search for a permanent EVP. McGowan will continue in his full capacity as EVP-supply chain while also taking on the retailer’s merchandising function, effective September 20.
As previously announced, the former EVP-merchandising and marketing role was split into two positions, with Erik Keptner being promoted to the role of EVP-marketing in July and the EVP-merchandising role remaining open.
In his interim role as EVP-merchandising, McGowan’s direct reports will be: Jeff Dichele, SVP-non-perishables; Steve Mayer, SVP-fresh; Jodie Daubert, SVP-sales development; Roger Wheeler, SVP-Oracle program lead; and Raymond McCall, SVP-pharmacy and HBC.
The following individuals will continue to report to McGowan: Jeff Enright, SVP-supply chain distribution operations; Walt Lentz, SVP-supply chain replenishment and forecasting; Mark Tarzwell, VP-supply chain projects, fresh; and Jerry Pimental, VP-supply chain projects, non-perishables.
