Several associates from Wakefern, ShopRite, and Colgate-Palmolive were honored on May 16 at the Tribute to Women & Industry (TWIN) Awards Dinner hosted by the YWCA Union County at the Parsippany Hilton in Parsippany, NJ. The awards recognize the achievements and significant contributions made by women within their industries in managerial, executive, supervisory and/or professional roles. They also acknowledge businesses whose policies and practices encourage high achievement by women and who promote equal advancement opportunities for women of diverse backgrounds.
The honorees from Wakefern were: Melissa Sungela, vice president of corporate finance and tax; Grace Cuffy, senior supervising paralegal; Susan Miller, senior supervisor of asset protection, and Tina Brandt, supervisor of fresh bake merchandisers.
The ShopRite team acknowledged at the event consisted of: Theresa Serluco, chief financial officer, ShopRite of Carteret; Peggy Broccoli, manager of front end, ShopRite Supermarkets, Inc., and Eleanor Fallon, manager, SRS Envoy Services, LLC.
The women from Colgate-Palmolive recognized for their achievements in the workplace were: Ebru Hocaoglu, associate director of network operations for toothbrushes; Regina Hourigan, associate director in strategic innovation & technical alliances; Cheryl Kozubal, manager of global personal care cleansing product development; and Christiane Schmidt, global demand planning manager.
