Beth Newlands Campbell is the new president of Giant Eagle, the large regional supermarket chain based in Pittsburgh. Most recently, Campbell served as president of Rexall Pharmacy Group, a 448-store Canadian pharmacy chain owned by McKesson Canada, a post she had held since August 2017. Prior to that she had spent about a year as president of Canadian supermarket chain Sobey’s Atlantic/Ontario business unit.

Campbell joined Giant Eagle in July about a month after Jerry LeClair left the organization where he served as executive vice president and general manager.

Prior to her two business ventures in Canada, Campbell had spent the majority of her career with Delhaize America (now Ahold Delhaize USA). A native of Pittsford, NY and a graduate of Cornell University, she first joined Scarborough, ME-based Hannaford in 1987, rising through the ranks to become senior vice president and executive vice president before being named president in 2010. Two years later, Delhaize America promoted her to president of its largest retail banner Food Lion. She joined Sobey’s in 2016.
