We are incredibly excited to inform you that our new website has launched.
Our new site brings us up to date within the current publishing environment. Moreover, it gives us the ability to easily add lots of features and upgrades to our digital offerings. We’re excited to grow our online presence and make our content easier to reach.
In the new www.foodtradenews.com we’re breaking out topics, so that you can sort and find articles easier. Regular columnists from our papers are segmented from our digital authors, and we have features like search and social to help you find and share those “must-reads” with your team.
Don’t worry – your favorite photo galleries (now found under People), market studies, and special features (both found under More) are all there. Everything is.
Let’s talk more about these changes…
We want to thank Andy Metzger – Jeff’s son and previous webmaster – for his time, help, and diligence on the old site. He served our readers well and we appreciate his efforts helping us in the transition and conversion. Thank You!
We have been working on it for a while now, and I wish I could tell you the process has been smooth and painless… It hasn’t been. But nothing worth doing is always easy. Our team has worked hard to ensure all of the features and content that our old site had was transferred over correctly. Some of it required going into old articles one-by-one – thousands of them.
If you’ve been through this process before you know it’s an “adventure,” and we’re crossing our fingers that everything goes smoothly. But if you see something that isn’t correct, like a broken page, or something that doesn’t line up… Please let us know at: editor@foodtradenews.com
Like an omelet, we broke quite a few eggs to get this one to the table – and it was worth it.
Bon’apetit.
Alex
P.S. Another thing I’ll add, Our new site has a number of opportunities for advertisers and we will be opening up our e-letter, Food Trade Today, for new subscribers. Feel free to reach out with any questions or suggestions.
