To our Valued Guests,

On behalf of the Redner Family & our extended family of employee-owners, we want to give a huge shout out to the store and warehouse team members who have been working non-stop and many additional hours to serve the needs of our guests. We know that things are uncertain right now and that some products may be temporarily unavailable but take heed, our team is continuing to work tirelessly for you in order to get product onto our shelves as soon as possible.

The extraordinary efforts of our team have not gone unnoticed nor unrecognized. Today, the Redner family & our executive team made the decision to recognize the dedication of our associates. Therefore, many of our associates will be seeing an increase to their regular rate of pay. We are implementing these higher wages and will hold them as long as this period of increased business continues. We’ve been providing food to our teams & making sure our folks take time off to take care of themselves as well. Our folks on the front line deserve this increase and all our thanks as they work to keep food in our stores and on your tables!

We appreciate the patience that all of our guests have shown as we work to create a rewarding shopping experience during this unprecedented time.

Sincerely,
Ryan S. Redner
President/CEO
Redner’s Markets, Inc.

Redner’s Markets is asking that the first hour and a half of daily operation (6 am – 7:30 am) be reserved exclusively for those that are at the highest risk for contracting Covid-19. This includes those that are elderly (60+), immune-compromised, considered to high health risk and pregnant. While we will not be asking for any personal identification or proof we will ask that other guests and communities respect this decision and be courteous to this request by allowing our most vulnerable to shop our stores when first opened, stocked and sanitized.

Additionally, we are asking guests to refrain from bringing re-usable (eco) bags into stores for use. These bags, while durable for multi-uses can be carriers for the virus and could cause further spread. Our cashiers will be automatically issuing single use, plastic bags until further notice.

We are taking these steps in response to the overwhelming requests shared by our guests who are thinking of this vulnerable portion of our population and suggested this approach. We appreciate the patience that all of our guests have shown as we work to create a rewarding shopping experience during this unprecedented time.

We’ve always been focused on doing all the things we need to do to keep our families safe and healthy and are ever more focused on this philosophy now.

We are continuing to monitor the situation and are taking necessary precautions to keep our employee owners and the communities we serve safe. Our teams are working hard to keep our stores clean, open and stocked and here are some of the steps we are taking to ensure your shopping experience is rewarding.

TO OUR GUESTS

  • All of our stores undergo daily cleaning and we have increased the frequency of cleaning schedules for bathrooms checkouts credit card terminals all of our food service areas & shopping carts etc. We have convenient hand sanitizer and shopping cart/ hand basket sanitizing wipes located at the entrance of our stores for guest use.
  • We are increasing the cleaning and sanitizing of all door handles including frozen, dairy and refrigerated cases.
  • We have suspended our food sampling in our stores and will follow best practices for all food handling and preparation.
  • We have suspended operation of our salad bar, hot bar and other self-serve areas.
  • We continue to offer Shipt home shopping service at most stores through which guests can order groceries online and have delivered to their houses in about an hour.
  • We are encouraging our guests to follow CDC suggested hygiene practices as they are the best efforts in stopping the spread of this disease.
  • We are working to implement contingency plans with our suppliers, transportation and store teams which include coordination with our many product vendors and suppliers so that we can provide our guests with the food and cleaning supplies.

TO OUR TEAM MEMBERS

  • All Redner’s employee-owners are instructed to stay home if they are sick. We are providing associates hand sanitizer and sanitizing soap for additional hand washing opportunities.
  • We will continue to monitor through the CDC and other trusted federal state and local health organizations as this situation changes.
  • Outbreaks such as the covid-19 can cause public worry and uncertainty but know that we will continue to follow all recommended precautions and protection measures as outlined to us by local state and health organizations.
