Bimbo Bakeries USA has relocated its corporate headquarters from Horsham to the Dallas Fort-Worth area, shifting its base of operations to North Texas as the company looks to streamline decision-making and support long-term growth.

The new headquarters is located in Irving, part of the broader Dallas–Fort Worth region, where the company already operates multiple bakeries, distribution facilities and sales centers. Executives said the move places leadership closer to core operations and a large portion of its U.S. footprint.

Company President Greg Koehrsen said the relocation is intended to improve efficiency and coordination across the business as the company continues investing in its brands and supply chain.

“Texas was our first home and played a defining role in our early history,” Koehrsen said. “We’ve built a strong presence here over the years, and this region remains central to who we are today. We’re looking forward to deepening those roots as we grow and continuing to support the communities that have supported us.”

The shift also brings the U.S. division geographically closer to parent company Grupo Bimbo, which is headquartered in Mexico City, potentially enabling tighter alignment between domestic and global operations. Grupo Bimbo is the world’s largest bakery with operations in 39 countries.

Bimbo Bakeries USA has begun staffing the new office, with senior leadership and corporate employees already working from the Irving location. The company said it plans to hire additional corporate staff as it expands its presence in the region.

Texas has been central to the company’s U.S. growth since Grupo Bimbo entered the market in 1998 through the acquisition of Mrs. Baird’s Bakery. Since then, the company has built a significant manufacturing and distribution network across the state.

Nationally the firm has 20,000 associates in over 55 bakeries. Despite the headquarters move, Bimbo said it will maintain operations in the Philadelphia region, including a sales center in Conshohocken.

The relocation marks a strategic shift in the company’s U.S. footprint as it continues to scale operations nationwide.
