JOH, a sales and marketing agency serving the food, drug, mass, and club channels, has named Brandon Barrasso customer manager for its Metro division, adding an executive with experience in supermarket merchandising, category strategy, and consumer brand management.

Barrasso joins the Billerica-based sales and marketing agency after most recently serving as an assistant brand manager for a global consumer health and hygiene company. In that role, he worked on a national laundry care brand, supporting product development and retail line reviews while analyzing sales trends and managing national sampling programs.

Grocery Merchandising Experience

Before moving into brand management, Barrasso spent more than six years with a supermarket cooperative as a merchandising manager and buyer.

His responsibilities included managing major product categories, developing promotional and marketing strategies and working with consumer packaged goods suppliers on merchandising and retail performance.

“Brandon’s strong experience in category strategy and promotional execution, combined with his brand management expertise, makes him a fantastic addition to JOH,” said Doug Parker, executive vice president, Center Store, Metro. “His ability to turn data and insights into actionable growth strategies will bring tremendous value to our clients and customers.”

Barrasso is based in New Jersey.
