Wakefern Makes Key Executive Changes

Wakefern Food Corp. announced changes to its organizational structure effective January 1. Jeff Reagan, senior vice president, corporate merchandising and non-perishables, has been promoted to senior vice president of marketing. In his new role, Reagan will oversee several of the company’s service divisions, including marketing, quality assurance, logistics and warehousing.

Chris Lane, current vice president of Wakefern’s grocery marketing division, has been promoted to senior vice president of non-perishables. In addition to grocery marketing, Lane will have responsibility for the HABA, pharmacy and non-foods divisions.

Bill Mayo, vice president of Wakefern’s dairy-deli/frozen division, has been promoted to senior vice president of perishables. In addition to dairy-deli/frozen, he will oversee the meat, seafood, produce and floral divisions.

Each of these new roles will report to Sheridan.

Additionally, Steve Henig, current director of corporate merchandising will be promoted to vice president, maintaining his current responsibilities and reporting to Reagan.

Reagan began his career at Wakefern in 1987 serving in positions of increasing responsibility in financial operations and procurement divisions.  In early 2010, he became senior vice president, Corporate Merchandising and non-perishables.  He will now assume the role of senior vice president of marketing.  

A registered pharmacist, Lane joined Wakefern in 2003 as vice president of pharmacy.  Mayo joined Wakefern in 1995 as a part of the company’s leader-in-training program and has held a number of positions within Wakefern’s product and procurement divisions including dairy-deli/frozen, grocery, produce, non-foods and pharmacy/HABA.

Henig, current director of corporate merchandising will be promoted to vice president, maintaining his current responsibilities.  Henig joined the company in 1991 and has served in a number of roles throughout Wakefern’s product and procurement divisions.
