FMI – The Food Industry Association has promoted two longtime executives into expanded leadership roles as it strengthens its focus on public policy, strategic growth and member engagement.

Jennifer Hatcher has been named chief innovation, strategy and membership officer. A more than 25-year veteran of FMI, Hatcher most recently served in senior government relations and member engagement roles. In her new position, she will oversee the association’s long-term strategic planning and innovation initiatives while leading efforts to enhance member value, deepen engagement and support organizational growth.

Stephanie Harris has been appointed chief public policy officer and general counsel. In addition to continuing to oversee FMI’s legal strategy and regulatory advocacy, Harris will now lead the association’s government affairs and public policy agenda. She will guide advocacy efforts aimed at supporting a competitive food industry while providing strategic legal counsel to the organization.

“These appointments reflect our commitment to building an organization that is both a powerful advocate for the food industry and an innovative partner for our members,” said Leslie G. Sarasin, president and CEO of FMI. “Together, Jennifer and Stephanie bring the leadership, expertise and vision needed to navigate an evolving policy landscape while driving strategic growth and delivering greater value to our membership.”

The appointments underscore FMI’s continued emphasis on advocacy, innovation and member services as the association responds to an increasingly complex regulatory and business environment.
